Bio

After completing my undergraduate and graduate work in Germany and a postdoc at UBC (Vancouver, Canada), I started our lab at UC Davis' Plant Biology Department in August 2014. With my team, I work to better understand how plants produce and utilize the diversity of natural products and how the chemical ingenuity of plants can be harnessed for agricultural and bioproduct applications. Beyond research, I am passionate about fostering interdisciplinary and career-focused student training in the STEM fields.
